Carmack's Console Comments Doomed

Anyone catch the latest comments by John Look-At-My-Ferrari Carmack? That's right, the man who was caught criticizing the PS3 last year has come out and criticized the Xbox 360 this year. This time he is out and about promoting his new game Rage and he just happens to slip in that the game will not look as good on the Xbox 360 because of the DVD format.

Last year the PS3 was too hard for him to program for. This year he seems to have gotten over that and he has just realised that the Xbox 360 only ships with a DVD drive. Nice one John.

John is, of course, famous for co-founding id Software the company behind Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Doom. Someone should print him out a spec sheet of the current generation consoles. Maybe next time he will come out and say that the Wii is the superior graphical console of the current generation.
